To your best friend
Friendships don't come with anniversaries or milestones. There's no official day to tell your best friend what they mean to you. So make one. Write it now, while the feeling is fresh. Send it when they least expect it.

Sneha,
If this arrived on a random day — good. That's the point. You deserve a random Tuesday ambush of love.
I'm writing this from our cafe. You're late, obviously. I ordered your coffee already — the absurd one with the oat milk and the extra shot and the cinnamon that you pretend is healthy.
I want you to know something. Last month, when I called you at midnight because I couldn't stop crying and I couldn't even explain why — you just stayed on the phone. You didn't ask what was wrong. You didn't try to fix it. You just stayed. And at some point you started telling me about the pigeon that got into your office and I started laughing and then I could breathe again.
That's what you do. You make people breathe.
I attached three photos. One from the road trip. One from your birthday where we both look terrible. And one from last week that I love because we're just sitting here, in this cafe, doing nothing. Being us.
Thanks for being my person. You're late but you're worth the wait.
